1:09AM - Bringing Out the Dead
So it's 1.10am and I just finished watching a DVD (HEdwig and the Angry Inch - AGAIN) and i turn the DVD off and channel 7 pops up and i see Nicholas Cage, dressed as a paramedic lean in and kiss Patricia Arquette and say "We are all dying Mary Bourke" and I realise ITS MY FAVOURITE MOVIE.
There goes the early night before work in the morning.

This is a message for Dave, Scott and Jon.
I am mortified about what happened on Friday night in the Cellar theatre, but i wanted to thank you all for calling to see if I was ok afterwards (how sweet you all are!). It was the panic attack from hell. I'm so embarassed.
But i still can't figure out why I couldn't get the Cellar door open... for a girl who prides herself on having the strength of two men this was just another crushing blow. So now not only do you know that I am crackers, but that I am also prone to weakness is the midst of panic.
Well, thats it now... You have all seen the crazy. There is no longer anywhere for me to hide *heads off to stick head in oven*

Sorry, the website that I refer to in the last entry is
Its just appalling.
9:38AM - I AM SO ANGRY ABOUT THIS
I just saw excerpts from the DVD in question and I am appalled, horrified and repulsed. And just when I thought it couldn’t get any more repugnant I came to this website to read comments from Werribee students making statements such as “you all need to calm down”, “get over it” and claims that what these boys did to not only the young girl but also their neighbourhood and a homeless person are not so bad.
Let me first address the actual crimes that were committed. This pack behaviour is the lowest form of cruelty that I can think of. The fact that the girl in question is developmentally delayed just makes it more hideous. This is bullying at its absolute worst. I am an English teacher and even I cannot find the language to convey strongly enough how sickened I am.
I am actually glad that there is a DVD documenting these ugly crimes because it provides the victims evidence of what was done to them. However, unfortunately the existence of this DVD only worsens the humiliation that the victims have suffered and to them I say I am very sorry. I am also glad that this story has hit the news very hard. Incidents such as this cause societal debate which (hopefully) can only make our society a better place.
As for the students at Werribee – I can not speak for everybody but I don’t blame you. I blame the perpetrators. I do however, fear for the future of a nation that is in your hands. Where are your standards? Don’t you dare tell me that “the boys who made it aren’t as bad as things are being made out…dnt judge before u no”. I saw with my own eyes what these boys did on that DVD. Even if these boys had sat around for 6 hours having a tea party and only 6 seconds of the DVD were dedicated to the boys setting fire to the young girl’s hair IT IS STILL UNACCEPTABLE. To the people arguing that this is not so bad, please then, tell what could possibly be worse?

Well, despite the fact that i have an oppressive number of assessments due i have instead been booking accommodation in Newcastle (of all places) for when I go to see Pearl Jam in their tiny little entertainment centre.
I can't fucking wait. Its going to be a well deserved break from the relentless fucking crap of this semester.
Grumpy is going now.

2:15AM - Aaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahahahah
Klein Sexual Orientation Grid
I scored an average of 3
MeaningThis result can also be related to the Kinsey Scale:
0 = exclusively heterosexual
1 = predominantly heterosexual, incidentally homosexual
2 = predominantly heterosexual, but more
than incidentally homosexual
3 = equally heterosexual and homosexual
4 = predominantly homosexual, but more than incidentally
5 = predominantly homosexual, incidentally heterosexual
6 = exclusively homosexual
The idea of this excercise is to understand exactly how dynamic a person's sexual orientation can be, as well as how fluid it can be over a person's lifespan. While a person's number of actual homo/heterosexual encounters may be easy to categorize, their actual orientation may be completely different. Simple labels like "homosexual", "heterosexual", and "bisexual" need not be the only three options available to us.
Take the quiz

10:48PM - Woe...
The [MUSE] Cabaret "Come As You Are(n't) has been cancelled, which sucks but for various reasons it was necessary so if, like strange weirdo, you were looking forward to it and you WERE NOT in the cast I am very sorry.
The good news is that it will go ahead next semester when we have better venue options. The venue limitations of Verge were too much of a problem.
Anyway, onto stuff about me - I'm sick, it's crap and i have to move. Oh, and im tired... i have had 3 hours sleep in the last 4 nights. Im starting to sport luggage under my eyes. Woe and more woe.
Must dash, just thought i should make a little announcement here in case there was someone we missed.

Last night i went to see the Australian premier of Kevin Smith's latest film "Clerks II" - the sequal to the all time greatest slacker film ever made and i loved loved loved loved LOVED it!!!!!!!!
It was funny, as always with Kevin Smith, for all the wrong, naughty and dirty reasons. I'm not gonna spoil ANYTHING about the film (as i discovered last night, Smith fans are NOT to be messed with by anyone other than Smith himself) but i will say that i wept and cramped up from laughing at the most fantastically funny nude scene EVER in a film. Sigh... is there anything that Jason Mewes can't do?
I am dying to actually talk about the film but since its not out here yet I will wait patiently for you all to catch up! I will however, say that the cast is pretty much exactly the same as it was 10 years ago, except just a little fatter.
After the film, Mr. Smith himself came out and did a Q & A which was supposed to go from 9pm - 10.30pm. It went until 12.05am... I love the guy but damn if my ass wasnt numb. THe seats in the state theatre are comfortable for about 2 hours - after that it just plain hurts. Anyway, his Q & A was actually very funny and revealed him to be a pretty decent and painfully honest guy. He openly discussed how he found working with Linda Fiorentino and Jeremy London difficult (and even stated that he would never ever ever work with London again) and how he has spent 10 of the last 12 years having to clean Jason Mewes up after heroine and alcohol binges in order to shoot scenes.
He also gave a very explicit account of how difficult it is for a guy of his size to 'crap in a trailer' - complete with re-enactment and lots of gesturing.
The Q & A was relaly funny in parts... the audience was just packed with guys who looked like Smith himself (Round and hairy basically) who would start shaking, sweating, stuttering and any other awful thing you can think of the human body doing when its nervous as they got to speak to their absolute idol. I, being female, was definately in the minority (Sigh... the standard situation for a girl who loves gaming and drinking beer) and was amused to see these guys reduced to quivering messes as they conversed or just listened to their superhero.
Many addressed him as Silent Bob - kinda disturbing!
While Clerks II has a couple of pretty lame moments, and some truly terrible acting (especially from Brian O'Halloran who plays the very unlikable Dante Hicks)Clerks II is totally worth seeing, especially if you are a Smith fan. I was just really happy to get my Jay and Silent bob fix!
Go see it and then come back here to report your findings. I dare anyone not to get a lump in their throat in the final shot.

9:20AM - WHO'S BDAY ROCKED?????????
Well my birthday was FUCKING brilliant!
I had to work in the morning but then in the afternoon i met Clare and Bradders (Fuggalugga) at El Bahsa in Newtown for coffee and chats. Liz May arrived shortly after.
Clare and Brad took us on quite the magical mystery tour! We walked to Newtown station and snuck a peek at the ticket machine as CLare bought our tickets so we knew we were heading to Circular Quay, but had no idea what for. All Liz and I knew was that if it didnt involve dinner we were staging a walk-out. (We had both been at work and were hungry!).
Anyway, arrived at Circualr Quay where Brad forced us to walk like morons all over the Rocks trying to disorientate us so (which sadly, worked) and finally we got to the Glenmore Hotel and headed upstairs to the bistro - THE VIEW IS AMAZING! And lo and behold - there was Nikolai Pippy and Giacomo!!! So the 6 of us had dinner (Mmmmmmmm... forbidden meat!!!!) and Pippy had brought the biggest, baddest choc mud cake EVER) and we ate until our legs dropped off. Opened some pressies - got the full radio transcripts to "The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy" (thanks Brad!) and the most beautiful Swarovski crystal treble clef brooch (Thanks Brad, Clare and Giacomo) and ofcourse the cake (thanks Pippy).
Brad then announced it was time to move on, so again with the disorientating walk all over the place and finally we walked out of this tunnel and all of a sudden i knew exactly where we were going - THE OBSERVATORY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Also, we got into a quasi whispered fight with some fat apples from Blacktown - long story. Lets just say it ended with Clare screaming "I would punch her but she woud probably think i am trying to fist her!" Nik coughed until he lost a lung.
It was the COOLEST BIRTHDAY!!!!! The only thing missing was my bestie couldnt come because she is a sickie at the moment.
Headed back to the Quay for coffee and headed home, content in the knowledge that I am very much loved by an extraordinary group of generous and wonderful people.
IM SO LUCKY!

9:20PM - SPOOOOOOOOKY SYDNEY......
Hey everyone in LJ land...
How often have you thought to yourself... "Gee, I'm in a real pickle... I would really love to go on a ghost tour of Sydney this Friday night but I'm also in the mood for some karaoke"?
Well friends, I am happy to report that your dilemma has been solved!
Two of Sydney’s most “out there” tour operators, The Karaoke Bus and Destiny Tours, join forces to set a whole new standard for Friday night out with the boys and ghouls.
Passengers will enjoy a spine-tingling, on-the-edge, one and a half hour Spooky Sydney by Night Tour to see a side of Sydney that raises more questions than it answers. Godfrey the Ghost, the spooky host, has been captured on video for an entertaining audio-video presentation of strange tales including many things spooky and paranormal
From there it’s back in the bus to party on ‘til around 10pm and take your turn with the microphone and SpookeOke’s ectoplasmic mix of the best ghost music this side of the other side.
So, i'm getting a group together to hit the road to be terrified outta their minds by Sydney's gruesome past (or maybe just from my singing) and all of my friends out there who i don't have contact details for YOU ARE INVITED! You all know who you are. And if you don't think i mean you - as long as i have met you in person YOU ARE INVITED!!! (I'm looking at Dave H, Cunningham, Adam V, Ghass etc...)
If any of you are at all interested please go to http://www.destinytours.com.au/karaoke.htm
Check it out - and get back to me. I need final numbers by around the middle of August and cash will be finalised by Aug 30. I am hoping to book the tour on Fri 29/09/06 - right at the emd of mid-semester break so there is no excuse!
Also, after there will be a party back at my place where drikns, food and merriment will be had.
Let me know!
